Strengthening LGBT+ groups in Southern Africa through increased organisational capacity and enhanced knowledge and skills of activists.
The project worked with 17 partner-organisations across nine Southern African countries through a combination of strategies, merging:
(a) more traditional organisational development services, with,
(b) more innovative programmatic approaches focussed on personalisation and internalisation of the issues relating to sexual orientation and gender identity, complemented by,
(c) technical skills-building training,
(d) executive coaching and mentoring to build leadership capacity, and,
(e) inter-organisational exchange visits for learning and sharing.
